Pros: This lightest travel tripod employs Gitzo's lightweight Carbon eXact tubing for added strength and stiffness. The 4 section legs utilize the Gitzo's Travel G-lock is specifically designed for the Traveler tripods to reduce overall size. With the included short center column installed, the tripod can get down to 7.9" for macro or low-angle shooting and reduces the total weight even more. The Tripod also includes a Gitzo Arca-type compatible ball head that has a load capacity of 24 lb, an independent panning lock for 360° rotation, and a height of 4.1". The head weighs 0.9 lb and has a tungsten disulfide coating to help keep the ball movement smooth while it minimizes sticking and slipping. A screw lock tightens down on the included quick-release plate, and a bubble level helps maintain straight horizons in your images.

Tips and Tricks
The feet can be removed and replaced with 1/4 inch threaded spikes (Foto&Tech 3-piece stainless steel spike set on Amazon) to give more grip on soil or ice. Note: Be sure not to travel with the spikes attached to the tripod. TSA agents don't like long spiked objects.
